Thonhoff Consulting Engineers, Inc. has a well-established history as a civil engineering consulting firm in the Central Texas area. Robert H. Thonhoff, Jr. was previously a Vice President of Curington Associates, Inc. and was employed by this firm from 1980 - 1989. In 1989 Mr. Thonhoff purchased the assets of Curington Associates, and renamed the firm Dollins, Powers & Thonhoff, Inc. In 1990 the firm’s name changed to Thonhoff Consulting Engineers, Inc. The firm’s predecessor organizations in Austin, Texas, date back to 1944. The firm had previously operated under the names The Marvin Turner Engineers, Inc., Bryant-Curington, Inc., and Curington Associates, Inc.
